FALSE BAY ECHO CELEBRATES 65 YEARS

It’s Heritage Month and it’s time for a celebration. This year 2018, the False Bay Echo, a well-known community newspaper covering the Far South areas of Cape Town is celebrating their 65th anniversary in the same year that Fish Hoek will be celebrating their centenary.

To mark this milestone in its history, the False Bay Echo will be publishing a souvenir edition which will be jam-packed with timeless memories and special moments from the past.

The False Bay Echo has a colourful history and a background of well-known characters. You can read all about these characters and more in a special 65th anniversary edition which will be published on Thursday the 27th of September.

In this special 65th anniversary edition, the False Bay Echo community newspaper will be tracking the history of sailing in the far south as well as featuring different sporting codes and well-known characters from the past.
