Can Max Verstappen pull off another perfect weekend at Mexican Grand Prix?

Max Verstappen heads into the Mexican Grand Prix with one clear mission — to win. After his flawless performance in America last week, where he dominated both the sprint and main race to secure a perfect weekend, the reigning champion must now deliver again if he hopes to keep his championship fight alive.

With only a handful of races left, every point matters, and Verstappen knows that another win in Mexico could be the turning point he needs.

At Circuit of the Americas, Verstappen reminded the world why he’s a three-time world champion. He was in a league of his own — fast, composed, and ruthless when it mattered most. But in 2025, the challenge is unlike any he’s faced before.

McLaren’s dynamic duo, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, sit ahead in the standings, armed with arguably the best car on the grid. Their MCL39 has proven to be a benchmark in speed and efficiency, giving them a performance edge that Verstappen’s Red Bull seems to lack in certain conditions.

Still, if there’s one thing Verstappen has over the McLaren pair, it’s experience and raw racecraft. The Dutchman thrives under pressure and knows how to extract every fraction of performance from his machinery.

His ability to control a race, manage tyres, and make split-second decisions has defined his career — and could be the difference once again in Mexico.

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a track where Verstappen has shone before. Its high altitude and long straights often favour drivers who can balance aggression with precision — traits that fit Verstappen perfectly.

Historically, he’s been strong here, taking multiple wins in Mexico thanks to his ability to adapt to the unique conditions and manage race pace intelligently.

Yet, he’ll need to be at his absolute best. McLaren have been relentless this season, with both Norris and Piastri consistently finishing on the podium and pushing each other for supremacy.

Even Mercedes and Ferrari have shown flashes of form that could complicate Verstappen’s mission for another dominant showing.

But if the American Grand Prix proved anything, it’s that Verstappen is far from done. His confidence, determination, and ability to rise above technical disadvantages make him a constant threat — no matter how fast the others are.

Can Max Verstappen pull off another perfect weekend and keep his title hopes alive? If history and form are anything to go by, betting against him might be the riskiest move of all.
