Production on season 5 of the Disney+ reality series was briefly halted in late March following serious allegations of domestic violence involving cast member Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
Things escalated after “TMZ” released resurfaced footage from 2023 showing an incident where Paul allegedly threw chairs at Mortensen while a child was nearby.
The situation quickly moved from online chatter to industry response. Disney confirmed that filming was paused, stating they were “not moving forward with the new season at this time” while they focused on supporting those involved.
Around the same period, Paul’s separate appearance on “The Bachelorette” was also scrapped by ABC, showing just how widely the ripple effects were being felt across productions.
