Cici announces she is expecting her second child

South African actress and singer Busisiwe “Cici” Thwala has announced to her followers on social media that she is expecting her second child.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, September 14, 2026, Cici shared pictures of her maternity shoot. Dressed in a white skirt and black top, Cici is seen holding her belly.

In her caption, Cici wrote: “Loved before we met, prayed for before we knew you, and cherished beyond words.”

Fans and fellow entertainers congratulated her on her growing family.

“Congratulations, beautiful! 🌸” wrote actress Siphesihle Ndaba.

“Congratulations ❤️mommy,” wrote rapper, actress and presenter Anele Zondo.

“So magical ✨!! Congratulations ❤️” wrote media personality Ayanda Thabethe.

In 2020, Cici welcomed her first child, her son, Dialo Prince, who was born on May 5.

Cici revealed in 2021 that her family had held private lobola negotiations and that she had married away from the public eye. The “Kings of Joburg” actress chose to keep her relationship and husband off social media to protect her family and personal life.

The “Hamba Juba” hitmaker’s pregnancy announcement comes just days after award-winning singer Shekhinah announced that she had welcomed a daughter three months ago.

Celebrating her bundle of joy, Shekhinah shared pictures of herself at the beach, dressed in white, sharing photographs from her pregnancy. 

In her caption, the “Suited” hitmaker revealed that she said her daughter was three months old.

“We are so lucky to have you with us baby girl. 💕👶🏾 I am leaving these pictures here as a forever reminder of the magic that is pregnancy and a time stamp to when life changed for ever for the better.

“By Gods grace you are here and more precious then we could have asked for ✨♊️ happy 3 months to our favourite girl,” wrote the musician.
