City finalising detail of design of routes for MyCiTi service in Wynberg 

The City of Cape Town is busy finalising the detail design of the routes for the MyCiTi bus service in Wynberg and surrounds. These routes were approved by Council in 2019 and the City is now preparing for the construction of the MyCiTi infrastructure. Residents will have the opportunity to comment on the bridge over the Southern railway line, as well as the proposed full and partial road closures, from 26 June

SAMA not happy about NHI bill in its current form

The South African Medical Association (Sama) says it cannot endorse the National Health Insurance (NHI) in its current form.
The National Assembly passed the NHI Bill last week.
Sama says it supports universal healthcare coverage but does not support the NHI in its current form.
Sama has called for clear and transparent governance structures in the NHI framework.

Communications and Digital Technologies Minister, Mondli Gungubele, says a two-step approach to switching off analogue signals has been adopted. This follows consultations with industry players and the Independent Communications Authority of SA. planned shut off of analogue signals is expected for December next year

Stats SA revealed that consumer inflation slowed to six-point-three percent last month.
However, the inflation rate remains higher than the South African Reserve Bank’s (Sarb) target of three to six percent..
