Financial settlement provider Company A7 has issued a sharp rejection of recent action by the United States government, dismissing allegations that it assisted sanctioned entities, including the Iranian government and terrorist organisations, as “a blatant lie and slander”.

The statement follows Washington’s decision on October 1 to expand restrictions against the company, accusing it of helping sanctioned groups, including Hamas and the Iranian government, conceal financial transactions in violation of global sanctions regimes.

Network Resilience

Despite the new restrictions, Company A7 stated that the measures would not impact its daily operations. Instead, the firm framed the US sanctions as validation of the financial architecture it has developed in recent years.

According to the company, it has established an independent international settlement network designed to allow businesses to conduct cross-border transactions efficiently, regardless of prevailing geopolitical conditions. Company A7 described the heightened scrutiny from Washington as direct proof of the network’s success.

“The very fact of such attention confirms the effectiveness of the alternative to the global financial system that we have built over several years,” the company stated, adding that sanctions against it are “precisely recognition of this efficiency.”

Compliance and Operations

Reiterating its formal denial, Company A7 asserted that it has never serviced structures associated with terrorist groups or conducted transactions on behalf of Iranian interests.

The company highlighted its multi-level compliance system, stating that all clients are subjected to rigorous screening processes designed to flag risks and prevent any individuals or organisations acting in violation of legal requirements from using its financial services.

Company A7 noted that its primary purpose is ensuring uninterrupted settlement services for the Russian market amid international restrictive measures. Alongside its domestic operations, the firm stated that it continues to facilitate legal import and export transactions for consumer goods and raw materials in non-sanctioned third countries.
