DBN Gogo faces backlash over ‘intimate’ dance with Blxckie in viral video

DBN Gogo is facing online criticism and debate after a viral video showed her comfortably dancing with Blackie. The clip sparked controversy, with some viewers suggesting she was disrespecting Hermosa by interacting too intimately with her partner.

A video featuring DBN Gogo and Blxckie, though posted late last year, continues to generate discussion on social media as the new year begins. While the video seemed to suggest mutual affection, DBN Gogo’s behaviour in particular drew significant criticism from fans on X (formerly Twitter).

The footage shows DBN Gogo initiating close contact, repeatedly touching Blxckie’s chest and hanging onto him, while Blxckie maintained a more casual demeanour.

The two artists are featured in Venom and Shishiliza’s song “Cold Outside”. They have frequently been photographed or filmed together, both on and off stage. They both travelled to Texas in 2023, though only a single post showed their joint presence there. Despite their ongoing collaboration, they had never been suspicious of their actions.

However, the trending video sparked a debate online, with many users criticising DBN Gogo for her perceived lack of boundaries, specifically pointing out that Blxckie is in a relationship and suggesting she was being overly touchy.

Others directed their criticism at Blxckie, arguing that he should not have permitted DBN Gogo to touch him in that manner.

Blxckie’s relationship the fans keep mentioning is with Hermosa, a prominent YouTuber, are known to be in a very public relationship, having recently welcomed a baby together. This widely known fact has caused confusion among fans regarding DBN Gogo’s intentions for acting touchy with Blxckie..

The reaction to the artists’ behaviour on TikTok and Facebook was mixed, with comments criticising both. Some viewers saw it as a normal friendship, while others criticised both artists.

Tumelo Mnisi commented, “This Blackie agreed too, t*ek it takes two to tango,” while Odwa Gwanya commented, “He knows the trouble he is going to get in when he gets home 😂😂”

User Sensitive Gangster (sarcastically) commented, “Gogo is unfamiliar with Hermosa i see😭”
