Durban Fashion Fair celebrates 15 years of putting local designers in the spotlight Durban is getting ready for another celebration of homegrown fashion, with the Durban Fashion Fair (DFF) returning this month for its 15th edition.
Taking place from September 16 to 18 at the Durban Exhibition Centre, this year’s showcase will celebrate the designers, brands and emerging talent that have helped shape Durban’s fashion landscape over the past decade and a half.
The milestone edition, themed “Where Legacy Lives”, will feature 84 designers across three nights, with the line-up including both established names and the latest group of designers coming through the DFF’s mentorship programme. One of the highlights will be the DFF Class of 2026, made up of 20 emerging designers who have spent the year developing their skills and brands through the programme.
The first night will set the tone for the showcase with designers including Dineo Khumalo, Karnation Clothing, Republic Menswear, Carita Adams, Black Faces Apparel, By Arthur The Tailor and Vialli Jeans.
The second evening will put the spotlight on another mix of established and emerging talent, including Dave & Gray, Leanne Mondon, Libo Creation, Precious Lulu, Jado Mjadu and House of St Luke, alongside the DFF Class of 2026.
The final night will close out the three-day celebration with designers such as King A Apparel, Karen Monk, Martin Bespoke, Sibu Msimang, Indoni Fashion House, Zamaswazi and DUKE Clothe Your Soul.

But beyond the runway, the anniversary is also a reflection of how much the local fashion industry has grown.
Over the years, the DFF has given designers an opportunity to build their brands, reach new audiences and gain valuable exposure in an industry where emerging talent can often struggle to find a platform.
The fair forms part of the eThekwini Municipality’s broader efforts to grow the city’s creative economy, particularly within the clothing and textile sector. For fashion lovers, the three-day event offers an opportunity to see the latest work coming out of Durban while supporting designers at different stages of their careers.Tickets are priced at R120 per show, while a day pass costs R250 and a three-day pass is R500. As the DFF reaches 15 years, its latest edition is set to be more than just another fashion showcase — it is a celebration of the designers and creative voices that continue to put Durban on the fashion map.
