South African DJ Gogo Skhotheni (real name Tumi Motsoeneng) has added actress to her list of talents, celebrating her acting debut in the Mzansi Bioskop movie “Puseletso”.

The traditional healer, who plays the role of Sister Rachel, a strict yet loving choir instructor in the movie, took to social media to celebrate this achievement and revealed that she has always longed to be an actress.

“My heart is full. Today I stepped into my very first acting role as Sister Racheal. A dream I’ve carried quietly has finally come to life,” she excitedly captioned her post.

The reality TV star further expressed gratitude for being provided with an opportunity to make her lifelong dream come true.

“Forever grateful for this opportunity, the team and the journey ahead. Ngiyabonga,” Skhotheni shared.

She also gave fans a glimpse of her impressive acting skills and shared two clips of the movie as she nailed her character.

Skhotheni stars alongside popular actress Mapule Mafole, who plays the lead role of Puseletso.

Mafole has appeared on many popular soapies such as “Rhythm City” and “Intersexions”.

Joining Skhotheni and Mafole on “Puseletso” is former “Rhythm City” actor, Mpho Molepo.

Skhotheni has become a household name in the entertainment industry for not only being a popular traditional healer but also a reality TV star, DJ and podcaster.

However, early this year, she announced on social media that she is no longer a sangoma and will no longer be involved in anything related to traditional healing.

She further shared that she is transitioning from being a traditional healer to a Christian.

“I had to differentiate between being a healer and being a witch. Being a healer is what I chose, and it goes along with God. I am a sangoma who believes in God and puts God in everything I do. I love God, and he loves me,” she said.
