FOX 13 chief-meteorologist Paul Dellegatto was delivering a live weather forecast from his home last week when his golden retriever, Brody gatecrashed the broadcast and jumped up at the camera for a well deserved close up.
It turns out that Brody had wanted to join in and accidentally knocked the computer with his head, which meant that the broadcaster was unable to move the maps on the screen.
The news anchors in the studio can be heard saying: “Don’t take this the wrong way Paul but this is amazing, I love it. We don’t need to see that forecast map, we’ll just look at Brody.”
The dog’s cameo appearance was posted on YouTube and shared to Twitter with the caption ‘This is the best weather forecast in the history of television news’ as it racked up more than six million views!
Many Tweeters were left in awe of the framed photo of Brody on the desk behind Paul, saying: “This is amazing! I can’t decide if my favourite part is Brody’s super close up shot, or the framed pic of him, portrait-style, on his dad’s desk.”
Others suggested that Paul never go live without his weather sidekick again.
Another pointed out: “Why have we been doing news any other way? What idiocy made us build sterile studios? I want to see everyone in their pyjamas with their pets and a glass of wine telling me how stupid everything is.”
