
South African top-charting duo Jazzwrld and Thukuthela attended the 2026 BET Awards.
The duo may not have been nominated, but they are making waves locally and internationally.
The duo traveled to Los Angeles and made a major fashion statement, making sure to stand out on the red carpet at the Peacock Theater in their dapper suits.
Jazzwrld, born Kamohelo Monese, is one of the biggest producers in the country, along with Thukuthela, born Kgotso Dube, who is also a vocalist. They are credited with pioneering what fans describe as a 3-Step sound.
Jazzwrld shared on Instagram their red carpet picture, and in his caption, shared what the moment meant.
“Never in a million years have we ever thought we will ever get here, this is one of the biggest platforms in human history. Wow, thank you🥹🥹😭❤️We will never stop on trying to be great!”
Leading up to the awards, the duo did press at the BET Media House, where they even humorously put out a public call noting they want to work with Drake next.
Jazzwrld and vocalist GL Ceejay recently collaborated with global star Davido on his new single “I know who I be,” which is on his upcoming album “Orilade”
The duo is also dominating the charts with their single “Ningikhonzele” featuring Thatohatsi and are on tour with stops in Toronto, Hyattsville and London.
The Jazzwrld and Thukuthela emerged as the biggest winners at the Metro FM Music Awards 2026, taking home three awards on the night.
