Hollywood actor John Travolta has been trending after his appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, where he premiered the first movie he has ever directed.
Travolta stepped out with his daughter, Ella Travolta, sporting a slouchy cream-colored beret, glasses, and a fresh beard. The look sparked viral reactions online.
The 72-year-old had people looking twice, as they made sure it was really him, as his new look has him looking younger.
On X, @sheila17_xo commented: “John Travolta looks very different. I am not sure if it is a clone we saw at the Cannes Film Festival, as close-up photos show fine wrinkles on his face, turkey neck and his hands look definitely older.

“Maybe the beard, moustache and beret transformed completely his look, but I will not be surprised if he had extensive plastic surgery. He look ‘very different’ as Trump would say. From far he could look 35 when he is in fact 72.”
During the festival, Travolta was honoured with a surprise standing ovation for his distinguished career in contemporary cinema.
The man who became an icon overnight with “Saturday Night Fever” was visibly moved as he accepted the honorary Palme d’Or before the screening of “Propeller One-Way Night Coach”, which is based on a children’s book he wrote.
“I just can’t believe it. This is beyond the Oscar, really,” he said as he accepted the honorary Palme d’Or.
“My favourite movies in the history of my life have always been the winners of the Palme d’Or.”
