Magic 828 September Line Up – Spring Refresher

Magic 828 is putting a little “Spring” in its step from September with a refresh of their weekday line-up. The new roster boasts a great blend of experience and exuberance and will be sure to deliver programming in the trademark Magic style, while continuing to play your memories.

From 1 September, the Magic starts first thing in the morning with renowned F-1 guru, Sasha Martinengo taking over The Breakfast Show from 06:00 to 09:00. Sasha is no stranger to listeners in the Cape, after hosting prime time slots on major stations throughout the country during his radio career. He will be followed by the fresh and exciting talent of Sihle Ndlovu to take us to lunchtime. Sihle is a Liberty Radio Award winner and joins us after a successful stint at Classic Fm. Her bubbly and infectious personality will add more Magic to your morning.

The legendary Radio Hall of Famer Brian Oxley, continues to spice up The Magic Lunchbox between 12:00 & 15:00. The Ox, as he is affectionately known, is a veteran broadcaster with nearly 40 years of experience. He has worked at some of the top radio stations in the country and has built up strong listenership numbers whilst making the lunchtime slot his own. The ever-popular Guy McDonald takes charge of The Magic Drive from 15:00 to 18:00. Widely appreciated for his razor-sharp wit and cunning sense of humour, he will be sure to entertain you as you navigate the afternoon traffic.

Magic evenings are safely in the hands of the supercharger, Adrian Larger. Adrian is the resident music authority, delivering a presentation packed with all the things you need to know about the music legends that make up the magic playlist. His informative and entertaining show, make him one of the Cape’s favourite presenters. From 21:00, the silky smooth Megan Edwards delivers the late-night classics. Megan’s love songs, coupled with her friendly personality, make Magic 828 the only place to be as you wind down at the end of your day.

The familiar weekend line up remains a pillar of the Cape Town radio scene, holding a wealth of experience and guile to create a well-rounded roster.

Magic 828 broadcasts Adult Contemporary Hits from the 60’s through the decades, to the 2000’s. The broadcast area takes in the greater Western Cape Region from Cape Town, up the West Coast, through the Boland into the Southern Cape and along the East Coast into the Garden Route.
