After 13 weeks of weddings, relationship challenges and emotional decisions, the couples of Married at First Sight Mzansi are set to revisit their journeys when the season three reunion brings them together again.

Hosted by actress Lerato Mvelase, the two-part reunion will see the couples confront unresolved issues, reflect on their marriages and reveal where they stand months after filming ended.

The first episode of the reunion aired on Mzansi Magic, channel 161 this past Sunday while the next episode will air on Sunday, October 11.

The reunion follows the season’s final recommitment ceremony, which saw the couples make difficult decisions about whether to continue their marriages beyond the experiment.

Prince and Esethu were the only couple to choose to recommit to their relationship. In an emotional moment, Prince got down on one knee and proposed to Esethu again, with her accepting his proposal.

For Lesiba and Matshediso, the ceremony ended differently. Although Lesiba was prepared to recommit, Matshediso chose to walk away, explaining that their connection had changed after they moved out of the shared apartments and questioning whether their relationship could work outside the experiment.

Meanwhile, Hlulani and Nompumelelo decided not to recommit, bringing their marriage to an end following challenges involving trust, honesty and emotional connection. Obren and Laurinda had already ended their marriage earlier in the season.

With the final decisions made, the reunion will give the participants an opportunity to revisit the moments that shaped their relationships and address tensions that remain unresolved.

Joining Mvelase for the reunion discussions are the show’s experts, Thabang Mashigo, Pastor Xolani Hlitana, Dr Mpume Zenda and Bakhe Dlamini.

The conversations will explore the couples’ experiences during the experiment and what life has been like since filming wrapped, giving viewers a closer look at the relationships beyond the final vows.

The reunion is not the only additional content planned for fans of the reality series. Married at First Sight Uncut will premiere on Friday, October 30, at 8pm, offering unseen footage, behind-the-scenes moments and additional material from the couples’ journeys.

While the experiment may have ended, the reunion promises another opportunity for the couples to reflect on their decisions and address the questions viewers have been asking throughout the season.
