The South African National Defence Union is calling on President Cyril Ramaphosa to not be silent about the video showing SANDF soldiers watching human remains be burned in what has been labelled a war crime. The union is joining the outcry in condemning the video saying it would tarnish the reputation of the country and the SANDF internationally.

A Christchurch business owner has turned detective to clear a $23,000 fuel bill after enormous charges were racked up on a stolen fuel card. It’s a case that caused significant heartache for him and his “community-minded” company, as local police refused to investigate the matter further due to a lack of resourcing. The man is said to have collected CCTV footage so far, which shows the offenders filling drums of petrol using a debit card linked to his business.
