Ramaphosa must not remain silent about SANDF members burning bodies on pile of rubble – SANDU 

The South African National Defence Union is calling on President Cyril Ramaphosa to not be silent about the video showing SANDF soldiers watching human remains be burned in what has been labelled a war crime. The union is joining the outcry in condemning the video saying it would tarnish the reputation of the country and the SANDF internationally.

Gupta Cape Town mansion on the market 

The Gupta’s former Cape Town family mansion in Constantia is on the market, with the asking price of around R20million. The property which boasts seven bedrooms and six bathrooms is one which was seized by the NPA in 2021 and is believed to have been obtained through one of the the Gupta companies with the proceeds of crime.

Lawyers of Boksburg blast families want to file class action against truck company 

Lawyers representing families affected by the Boksburg blast say that an independent audit which cleared the truck company involved in the explosion should be treated with scepticism. The firm is helping victims file a class action lawsuit and says its preliminary investigations show that the tanker company is responsible.

New Zealand business owner investigates hefty fuel bill as police refuse to look into the matter 

A Christchurch business owner has turned detective to clear a $23,000 fuel bill after enormous charges were racked up on a stolen fuel card. It’s a case that caused significant heartache for him and his “community-minded” company, as local police refused to investigate the matter further due to a lack of resourcing. The man is said to have collected CCTV footage so far, which shows the offenders filling drums of petrol using a debit card linked to his business.
