“I’ll never lend you guys money, it just ruins friendships,” says Sorisha Naidoo, a cast member of “The Real Housewives of Durban”.
In a candid video shared on TikTok, Naidoo expressed her views to friends Nonku Williams and Jojo Robinson during her husband Vivian Reddy’s birthday celebrations in Umhlanga.
The video, titled ‘The OGs are at it again,’ features Robinson asking Naidoo, “Sorisha, has Nonku ever borrowed money from you?”
Naidoo replied, “No. But also, I’d never lend you guys money. It just ruins friendships.”
This revelation comes in the wake of a controversy involving “The Real Housewives of Cape Town” cast member Beverly Steyn, who recently took to social media to criticise Williams for failing to repay a loan, which has caused a rift in their friendship.
Williams publicly acknowledged her mistakes, taking responsibility for the debt and attempting to apologise to Steyn.
In a series of posts, she stated, “I owe Beverly Steyn a sincere apology. A sincere apology.”
Despite Williams’ attempts to mend fences, Steyn has indicated that her legal team will still pursue recovery of the funds.
She noted that while Williams acknowledged the debt, she “refused to give me a payback date.”
Steyn further alleged that Williams had borrowed money from others in the past without following through on repayments.
“You ghosted me, and I was in tears when I found out you borrowed money from others and then just ghosted them,” Steyn lamented.
In light of these allegations, Naidoo and Robinson have come to Williams’ defence, refuting claims that she borrowed money from them.
In addition to discussing financial matters, the trio also touched upon Williams’ love life.
Williams, who attended the birthday bash with her new partner, Lungani Rammaledi, revealed their plans to make their relationship official and tie the knot in the future.
Although Williams announced that she would not be returning for the next season of the reality show previously, she hinted at a possible comeback, leaving fans wondering if they might see how her relationship unfolds on screen.
