A Johannesburg family is mourning the loss of their two daughters and praying for the recovery of another after a horrific accident over the weekend.

Connor, Cassidy, and Storm Moodley were in an accident on Saturday.

Storm is currently in the hospital, while Connor and Cassidy have passed away.

Tributes continue to pour in for the beautiful girls.

In a social media post, their father, Warren Symons, expressed his heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support during this time.

He wrote: “Thank you to everyone for their love and support during this incredibly awful time. The ordeal is nowhere close to the end, but with time, my family and I will heal enough to celebrate the lives and the people taken from us. No parent should ever have to bury their children.

“To say that we are shattered is a massive understatement, but with your love and support, healing is possible. Hug your kids a little tighter today and thank God for the breath in their bodies, for we don’t know when our journeys together will end [sic].”

The girls’ devastated mother, Janene Moodley, posted a picture of her and her daughter, Connor, and wrote: “My poppet, losing you and Cass is, by far, the greatest weight I’ve ever had to carry. In pieces right now [sic].”

Donavan Ackerberg, from the Africa Bully Empire, an animal group dedicated to the American Bully breed, also conveyed his condolences to the family on behalf of the organisation.

“The Bully community lost 2 beautiful souls over the weekend, while their sister still fights for her life. Three young sisters who carried so much love, always welcoming others with open hearts and true hospitality. Janene Moodley and Warren Symons, my friends, may the Lord wrap you in comfort during this time, and may His healing hands be upon Storm Moodley. Rest peacefully in heaven, Connor and Cassidy Moodley [sic].”
