“The Mommy Club” reality star Nozipho Ntshangase got candid in an Instagram post as she penned an emotional message to her past self, reflecting on the most difficult period of her life when she was going through a public divorce with her husband of 17 years, Zola Ntshangase.
Even though she has always opened up about that period of her life and how it affected her and the kids, this open letter described how scared and unsure she felt during that time, especially for her kids.
“Dear 2024 Me, I know how scared you were. You were grieving the future you thought you were building, terrified of the unknown and carrying a deep fear for your children. Night after night, you wondered if they would be okay, if you would be okay,” she wrote.
At the time, Nozipho and her family made headlines after a video went viral showing a tense argument between her and her husband, Zola, who was demanding car keys while she insisted she needed them to take their children to school.
The video gave fans a glimpse into their marital issues that they were experiencing at home. Soon, the public got to know that her husband was going to marry a second wife, which the reality TV star revealed that she objected to.
While her husband was getting married to another woman, Nozipho turned over a new leaf and embarked on a healing journey, focusing solely on herself and raising her children.
In the caption, she added that at some point, her hair started to fall out because she was under so much distress.
“The stress took its toll. Your hair was falling out, and even your little twins experienced hair loss. It broke your heart because it felt like the pain had touched everything you loved,” she wrote.
However, in the midst of it all, she found her solace in God and the beach, revealing that “It became your safe haven, the one place where you could escape your reality.”
She added that a few years later, even though she is still healing, she did not let the pain she was going through two years ago define her future.
“The pain did not have the final word. The fear did not define your future. What felt impossible to carry became the place where God met you with His strength, grace, and unwavering presence,” Nozipho wrote.
