A library in England said a book was recently returned by an apologetic former patron who checked it out in 1976.
Blackpool Libraries said the former patron told librarians she used to check books out in the 1970s, when she was working at a nearby store. Again like many of the overdue library book stories we come across, the patron won’t be fined for the book which is 45 years overdue.
Police Minister, Bheki Cele, says more police officers will be deployed in the country to ensure the safety of the public this festive season. Recent crime statistics revealed a slight decrease in the murder rate. Cele says the police are under strict instructions to deal with crime this festive season.
