Own the dust at Gravel Kings 3.0 — Worcester’s wildest weekend is almost sold

Out 18–20 September 2026 | Nuy Valley, Worcester

There’s a sound you don’t forget: the crack of a V8 launching off the line, tyres shredding  gravel into a wall of dust that swallows the sky. Then the crowd roars louder than the  engines. That’s not a highlight reel — that’s just Friday night at Gravel Kings.

Grab your Full Weekend Pass now — from R450 — because spots at this thing don’t  last.

Every petrolhead and overlander knows the feeling: normal weekends stop cutting it.  You want dirt under your nails, a fire in front of you, and the low growl of built rigs  warming up for battle. You want a tribe that gets it. That’s exactly what’s waiting for you  at Gravel Kings 3.0.

  • The Cape’s Toughest Proving Ground Returns

Cooked up by the Cape Route Rally crew — Antony Ashley, Louis Smit, and Jason  Richards — Gravel Kings has grown into South Africa’s premier gravel drag racing  festival. This year it rolls back into the Breede River Valley, in the Nuy Valley just outside  Worcester, backed by the Breede Valley Municipality and a heavyweight sponsor lineup:  Kennedy Tools, Tyrelife Solutions, Ride Fox Africa, FreightFactory, Wild Dog 4×4, MUA,  Ignition TV, Powerflow, and Top Watch.

At its core, it’s one simple, brutal question: *who owns the dust?* Modified monsters,  stock bakkies, diesel, petrol, 2WD, AWD — everyone lines up on the same strip, and  only one crosses first.

This year, the stakes go beyond bragging rights. Every R100 spent on official apparel — online or on-site — earns you a raffle ticket for a fully custom Porsche Cayenne 4.8L V8.  One weekend, one dust cloud, one shot at driving home in something ridiculous.

  • Three Days. Zero Regrets.

Friday 18 September — The Buildup

Gates open 1PM. Competitors hit the dirt for practice runs from 3–5PM. As the sun  drops, the bar opens and live bands kick the weekend into gear.

Saturday 19 September — Race Day

Breakfast stalls fire up at 7:30AM. Qualifiers roar from 8AM to 1PM, followed by the  class finals. From there, bands and DJs keep it loud until 10PM.

Sunday 20 September — Super Shootouts

Morning races build to the Super Shootouts finals, 2–4PM. Short, savage, unforgettable  — then the final prize-giving closes it out.

Between runs, walk Overlander Alley and the Vendor Village — brand demos, custom  builds, food courts, merch stalls, and a kids’ play area so the whole crew can come  along for the ride.

  • Pick Your Basecamp

Wild Camping — R500/vehicle: Fire-friendly zone, shared ablutions, right in the thick  of it.

Glamping — R6000 for two: Luxury tents, plush bedding, private showers, early track  access, plus two full weekend passes included.

VIP Experience: Couches, waitstaff, private DJs, and live TV coverage — for when you  want the whole weekend handled for you.

  • Book Your Spot Before It’s Gone

Competitors are already booking flights in from neighbouring countries. The Exhibitor  Zone (5x10m, 10x10m, and 15x15m stands) is filling fast for brands wanting their gear in

front of thousands of hardcore fans, backed by live YouTube coverage and a post-event  screening on Ignition TV (DStv 169). Every competing vehicle goes through rigorous  scrutineering to international motorsport standards — so what you’re watching is as  safe as it is savage.

Full Weekend Pass: R450 | Saturday only: R350 | Sunday only: R250

Spots are strictly limited, and this one sells out every year. Get your tickets on the  official website, or fill in the enquiry form for race registration and exhibitor bookings — before the grid fills up without you.
