Police launch manhunt for suspect in Limpopo tavern murder

Police in Rakgoadi, under the Sekhukhune District in Limpopo, have launched a manhunt following a fatal incident in Mohlalotoane village in the early hours of Saturday.

According to authorities, the deceased, a 40-year-old man, was involved in an argument outside a local tavern at around 1am with another man known to him.

The confrontation escalated, and the suspect allegedly chased the victim into a nearby bush.

There, he allegedly assaulted the man with an unknown object, striking him on the head.

The victim succumbed to his injuries and was certified dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

The suspect immediately fled and has not yet been apprehended.

“Anyone with information that can assist in the arrest of the suspect is urged to contact the Investigating Officer, Constable Thabiso Mohlamonyane,” urged the authorities.
