Rapper Emtee has cut his signature dreadlocks, debuting a fresh new fade haircut.
The award-winning rapper’s barber, The Dictator’s barbershop, shared pictures and videos of Emtee’s new look.

The rapper’s new look comes at a time when he has split from his wife, Nicole Chinsamy, making some wonder if the look comes from the new look was inspired by the changes in his personal life.
Emtee has been open about struggles in his life. He recently released a statement detailing abuse he allegedly suffered, responding to negative comments online about his appearance.
“People always resort to ‘his doesn’t bath’ to boost their egos. I have two bathrooms. How I’m not bathing? Maybe I’m just ugly said the mother of my kids.
“I know you’re tired of me posting statements. Sadly, this is serious beyond measure. I get beaten up by Nicole Kendall Chinsamy multiple times, and I know y’all will laugh at me and call me all the names in the but it’s cool, God got me.
“She threw away my bible cos she’s satanic. Now she wants me killed cos I caught her.”
Emtee, in his statement, further pleaded for help, but not financial assistance. “I have scars from this girl for years,” he wrote.
He also broke down in tears on social media, claiming that around R700,000 in music royalties had been stolen from him, which sparked an outpouring of support from fans.
Emtee’s recent struggles have once again highlighted the need for South African men to take serious action against the mental health crisis in the country. His posts come in June, which is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, encouraging many to urge men to turn to professional help.
