After wrapping up the launch parties, Tyla took to her Instagram and posted a set of pictures with the caption that read: “07/25 25/07”.
She unveiled the release date for the mixtape using a dual date format after a mix-up that occurred when she released her single “Is It” and some of her European fans misinterpreted the date.
The upcoming mixtape features two successful singles from the singer this year, including the most recent hit “Is It,” which came out on July 9.
During her mixtape launch party in London, the Grammy-award-winning star shared the inspiration behind the mixtape’s title, revealing that she has been in a mood of enjoying life with vibey people.
“I’ve been on this tip of just enjoying life, not just by partying but just enjoyment with people that I love and people that are a vibe,” she said.

She shared that “We Wanna Party” is a chant that has been used in South Africa during parties for a long time.
“We Wanna Party is actually a South African chant; we’ve been using it forever, and it’s been a way to hype up people and enhance the feeling of enjoyment, so I thought it was perfect for the mixtape because the music screams ‘we wanna party’,” she explained.
Since June, the “Tyla we wanna party” chant has been all over the “Push 2 Start” singer’s social media feeds.
She also made the audience at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards chant it when she hosted the awards on June 21. Tyla has been dropping easter eggs long before revealing that a mixtape is in the works, and now fans can finally expect it.
“We Wanna Party” promises to deliver more of Tyla’s infectious beats with more of her confidence-boosting lyrics.
“Is It” has already revealed exciting vibes and themes fans will get to hear.
Tyla’s comment also sets the tone and gives a glimpse into what will be a period of partying to new music and new lyrics to vibe to.
