Sfiso Ndlovu’s sincere apology for body-shaming Thatohatsi Raphadi: ‘I did not mean to hurt your feelings’

In a recent episode of the “Piano Pulse” podcast, Sfiso “Mafitsotso” Ndlovu apologised to amapiano vocalist Thatohatsi Raphadi after he made body-shaming remarks targeting her.

During the episode, he claimed that he was “heartbroken” because of the whole ordeal, and he felt bad.

“With the whole Thatohatsi [incident] and deleting of pictures, I felt like s***t I won’t lie. I felt like s***t because I thought the country knew how much I love Thatohatsi, I thought at least.

“My love for Thatohatsi, if I must say now – in my heart I adopted her as my daughter, in my heart because she looks exactly like my daughter,” he said.

Ndlovu faced public scrutiny after a clip of him went viral for saying that Raphadi would never gain weight even if “you lock her up and make her drink oil.”

Social media called him out for having the audacity to make such remarks about someone else’s body and being a gossip monger, especially at his age.

Regarding the clip that is making rounds on social media, he said that he made those remarks in November, and someone decided to compile his clip with Nota Baloyi’s clip to make it seem like he was agreeing with Baloyi.

In addition, he said that he does not really care much about what the internet is saying, but rather he is more concerned about Raphadi.

“I’m more concerned about Thatohatsi because she is more hurt. Aii sis’wami (my sister), my comment on the full context of the clip was not meant to hurt you.

“There is no way or day or life, I would wake up in the morning and decide to hurt someone like you. I care about you so much, I’m really sorry for my part. On the clip that is trending, that is edited with Nota’s, it makes sense for whatever and whoever wants it to make sense for,” he said.

Ndlovu apologised, expressing regret that the Amapiano vocalist was made to feel as she did when the clip went viral and added that she did not deserve the negative feelings it caused.

“I’m really sorry, mntanami (my child), like I’m really, really sorry. I did not mean to hurt your feelings or make you feel less of a woman or anything else, man, it’s not what I intended.

“It did not land the way I wanted it to land, or it wasn’t understood the way I wanted it to be understood,” he shared.
