Auction house Bidders Choice opened bids for luxury handbags and assets on Friday October 10 and closed on October 15.
Bids on the luxury handbags at first started slow but with time interest grew. The assets are up for auction following a legal showdown with the SA Revenue Service which seized luxury items over unpaid taxes.

There are 18 designer items on the auction list, and by the close of the auction all the luxury handbags and luggage bags had been bid on.

The highest auction item is a Saint Laurent Care Maxi Shopping Handbag with Pouch which was auctioned for R73 000. The lowest auction priced luxury item was a Saint Lauren I Care Maxi Shopping Handbag with Pouch for R11 000.
The auction bid for the 2021 Lamborghini Urus (Runner) is also pending at R4.8 million.

Luxury designer handbags and luggage bags are not the only items that were up for auction, other interesting items include artwork with pending bids ranging from R50 to R6200.
Five pin boards were sold for R10, and wood material stock was sold for R10.

IOL previously reported that Mkhize’s assets, including vehicles, were seized at a training facility on a farm outside Pietermaritzburg and Mkhize’s house in Sandton, Johannesburg.
The taxman sent at least 10 trucks to remove the items. Other small and heavy-duty tow trucks were brought in to tow away vehicles, including heavy construction vehicles and a number of metal shipping containers.
