The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture has exciting news for music lovers and proud South Africans alike: our nation will proudly participate in the Russia InterVision Music Contest 2025, set to take place in the vibrant city of Moscow on September 20, 2025. Representing South Africa will be Mzansi Jikelele, a dynamic collective of talented local artists, who will deliver an inspirational performance of their original composition titled “Home.”
This prestigious music contest will bring together participants from 23 countries, highlighting the multicultural tapestry of creativity and musical expression. Audiences can catch the live performance on the SABC streaming platform, SABC+, at 19:30, followed by a delayed broadcast on SABC 3 at 21:30.
Mzansi Jikelele is a powerful ensemble, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of South Africa. The group is composed of:
