Taylor Swift has released an expanded edition of her album The Life of a Showgirl, featuring four new songs.
The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore arrived on streaming platforms on Friday, September 25, with Patient Zero, Cleveland!, Pink Clouding and Babylon added to the album.
Swift announced the release on Instagram, saying the additional songs were written in Sweden with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback while celebrating the album’s success.
She said the tracks were “born out of pure gratitude” for fans’ support of the album.
Swift had already confirmed the release of Patient Zero earlier in the week, announcing that the song would arrive on September 25.
The 36-year-old singer revealed the release date after a countdown on her website reached zero.
The announcement followed a series of cryptic clues that fans had been decoding.
A poster featuring the words “PATIENT FOR THE ENCORE” appeared in Swift’s Opalite music video, which was released in February. The video also featured four scorecards, each displaying a zero.
Further clues emerged during Swift’s Law and Order: SVU cameo at the 2026 Emmys. A four-word list she used — “Saccharide. Aries. From the vineyard. North or south” — became part of fan theories surrounding the upcoming release.
Fans later identified an anagram of “ENCORE” in the third letters of the words, linking it to the clue from the Opalite video.
Ahead of the announcement, Swift also updated her social media bio to read: “And, baby, that’s sh0w business f0r y0u.”
