Max Verstappen continues to redefine Formula One excellence.

The Red Bull driver set another remarkable record at the Brazilian Grand Prix, becoming the only driver to have finished on the podium from the most different starting positions in the history of the sport.

Verstappen has now claimed podiums from 16 different grid slots and even the pit lane, marking an unprecedented 17 starting positions leading to a top-three finish. The achievement underlines Verstappen’s extraordinary versatility and consistency — two hallmarks that have defined his rise to the top of F1.

Whether starting from pole or deep in the pack, the Dutchman has shown an uncanny ability to fight his way through the field and deliver results that others can only dream of. At Interlagos, Verstappen once again demonstrated why he stands at the peak of modern motorsport.

Dominating from start to finish, he secured yet another race win — but the story of his career-long record was equally significant.

Over the years, he has proven that a difficult starting position is no obstacle, having climbed from as low as P20 and even from the pit lane to reach the podium. That rare adaptability is now officially unmatched in F1’s long and storied history.

Before São Paulo, Verstappen shared the previous benchmark with Fernando Alonso. Now, he stands alone. The record not only highlights his ability to handle varying race circumstances but also underscores Red Bull’s strategic prowess and reliability across seasons.

Speaking after the race, Verstappen downplayed the milestone but acknowledged its significance in showing his team’s collective strength.

“It’s always nice to break records, but what matters most is the performance we deliver as a team,” he said. “No matter where we start, we always believe we can fight to the front.”

The achievement adds to a growing list of records that Verstappen has amassed in recent seasons — from most wins in a year, to the longest winning streak, and now the broadest range of podium finishes from different grid positions.

As the season nears its conclusion, Verstappen’s relentless form shows no sign of fading. The Brazilian Grand Prix was another showcase of precision, control and confidence — qualities that have turned him into a generational talent.
