Up until Sunday, it would have all been about golf for Bryson DeChambeau, but since then the American has taken in the sights and attractions of South Africa.
DeChambeau won the inaugural LIV Golf South Africa event at The Club at Steyn City last weekend, and after holing the winning putt, he let out all the emotion as he hugged his caddy, and the tears began to flow. It was also the second week in a row DeChambeau had emerged victorious after winning LIV Golf Singapore.
Throughout the week, DeChambeau sung the praises of the South African fans.
During an event, the players rarely get to explore the city or country they’re playing in as it’s all business.

However, DeChambeau was able to take some time off following his triumph.
Earlier in the week, he was seen in a video offering advice to a young girl practising on a driving range, which seemed to be well away from any cities with only mountains in the background.
Though it’s unclear if DeChambeau is still in South Africa, he posted two pictures of himself – one with an elephant and another with a giraffe – in the early hours of Friday morning. He captioned the post: “Highly recommend going to South Africa.”
DeChambeau pocketed R68m for beating Jon Rahm in a playoff, and for leading his Crushers GC to team victory, he earned another R51m. That’s a decent week’s work pay of R109m.
DeChambeau will be preparing for the Masters at Augusta now, which begins on April 9.
