Cape Town dam levels just over 82%

The City’s dam levels are currently standing at just over 82percent. This is a decrease of 1,1percent over the last week. The City is further reminding residents that permanent regulations limiting water use applies at all times. The current risk for water restrictions is low, and the City will continue to monitor rainfall patterns.

City’s R170m Simon’s Town housing project progressing steadily

The City says its Dido Valley housing project in Simon’s Town is progressing well with 33 units already completed and being readied for handover to qualifying beneficiaries. The R170 million project entails the construction of 600 subsidised houses. Further batches of units are also nearing completion, and will be handed over as and when they reach practical completion.
