Céline Dion is reminding everyone why she remains one of the world’s most loved voices, even when she’s not on stage.
The 57-year-old music icon took to Instagram to share a few of the songs she’s been loving lately, casually walking fans through a variety of genres and moods while cracking jokes along the way.
“I’m often asked what I’m listening to, so here are a few songs from my playlist lately. Different moods, different moments…but all ones I love. Tell me, what’s on YOUR playlist?” she captioned the video.
One of the first songs she mentioned was Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain” from her critically acclaimed album “Anti”. The “That’s The Way It Is” singer joked that the song “should’ve been mine,” adding that Rihanna did an incredible job and that she loves her dearly.
She also gave shout-outs to Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” and Guy Sebastian’s “Before I Go”, pausing to ask Sebastian if he writes for other artists, clearly impressed by his songwriting.
James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful” made the cut, too, with Dion suggesting that he should write something for her one day.
Then came the moment fans didn’t know they needed. Talking about her son Eddy’s love for Metallica, she suddenly decided she wanted to sing one of their songs and sang an over-the-top rendition of “Until It Sleeps”.
She wrapped things up by mentioning Celeste’s “Stop This Flame”, even hinting that a collaboration between the two could be something special.
The playlist reveal comes shortly after Dion’s viral “What’s in My Bag” Instagram video, where she showed off everything she carries in her Dior tote, from dog food and hand cream to a microphone and her own VIP concert badge.
In true Dion fashion, she also joked about using her phone to prove it’s really her when people don’t believe her.
