City allocates R66m to expand law enforcement college to produce more officers

The City of Cape Town has allocated a budget of R66million over the next three years to expand the City’s law enforcement college to produce more trained officers. This was revealed by Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis who said that the budget allocation includes the recruitment of 25 additional training staff to deliver on the expanded training needs of the City’s policing departments. The mayor also revealed that the City is in the process of constructing a new training facility for law enforcement at the Muizenburg Training College.
