City lifeguards dive in

The City of Cape Town’s Recreation and Parks Department has begun the deployment of 600 swimming pool and beach lifeguards, who are set to keep an eye on bathers this coming summer season. Mayor Geordin Hill Lewis says the key part to the City’s preparedness is to ensure that polos and beaches across the metro are safe and ready for visitors.
