A couple who have been living in Knysna will be facing charges of fraud after they faked the husband’s death back in the late 90’s. Its reported the couple lied saying the husband died in a motor vehicle accident in order to claim an insurance pay out of just over R1,7million. After receiving the sum of money the couple are said to have moved from Gauteng to KwaZulu Natal and then settling in Knysna. The insurer is said to have been tipped off about the possibility that the man was still alive and investigations by the Hawks lead to their arrest earlier this week.
