DJ Tira elevates the Afrotainment Marquee at Hollywoodbets Durban July with HONOR partnership

DJ Tira has been hosting his Afrotainment Marquee at the Hollywoodbets Durban July for several years, and each year he manages to top the last.

For this year’s festivities, the renowned music producer partnered with global smart device brand HONOR to elevate the experience for attendees.

The Afrotainment Marquee featured an outside and indoor seating area, excellently decorated, setting an ambiance that gave high-life vibes. 

The red carpet was beautifully laid out for guests to enjoy and allowed them to take pictures at the top of the stairway that had a grand piano, flowers and HONOR signage.

Guests included some of the country’s famous faces, such as DJ Zinhle, Nonkanyiso ‘LaConco’ Conco, Big Zulu, Gugu Khathi, “Big Brother Mzansi” winner Sweet Guluva, former “Big Brother Mzansi” contestant Ashley Ogle, Liyema Pantsi and Yolanda Monyai.

“Partnering with HONOR, a brand that shares our vision of innovation and excellence, will take this year’s Durban July to the next level. We’re excited to co-create a space that’s both stylish and smart.”

HONOR’s partnership with Afrotainment shows the growth of DJ Tira’s relationship with the global brand for which he is an ambassador.

Guests got to experience the latest HONOR devices at the experience zone, which had immersive tech activations and stylish touchpoints that reflect the brand’s commitment to innovation and design. 

Fred Zhou, CEO of HONOR South Africa, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, “This marquee represents more than just luxury; it celebrates African culture, creativity, and excellence. 

“HONOR is excited to bring cutting-edge experiences to guests, showcasing how our technology complements and enhances modern lifestyles.”

Zhou further told IOL they hope they hope to be the bridge between South Africa and China through their various offerings.

Not only did the Afrotainment Marquee feature cutting edge technology but had the best entertainment, from DJ Cndo, DJ Zinhle and performances from hitmakers GL_Ceejay, and Thukuthela, Yahoo and Naledi Aphiwe.

Guests danced the night away as they enjoyed the performances, while enjoying delicious food and premium drinks.
