The season finale for “Married at First Sight South Africa” season two was nothing short of drama-filled.

Season two of “Married at First Sight South Africa” had viewers hooked, as the couple’s journeys were filled with jaw-dropping moments.

The finale saw couples who chose to stay together and those who went their separate ways.

The four couples are Palesa Mphaki and Tshepo Miya, Makoto Phumodi and Nkuleleko Mahlangu, Themba Khosa and Nelisa Ntabeni, and Portia Baloyi and Bongani Luvalo.

Mphaki and Miya had an explosive moment in the season finale, with swearwords and low blows being thrown. As the couple argued during their break-up moment, Miya triggered Mphaki by sharing information she had confided in him about her father.

Makoto Phumodi and Nkuleleko Mahlangu, on the other hand, managed to have a mature breakup with no swear words or jabs being thrown.

Since filming wrapped, a lot has happened behind the scenes, and these revelations will be unveiled during the two-hour “Married at First Sight South Africa” reunion special.

TV presenter, actress, singer, and conversation curator Relebogile Mabotja, will host the reunion special and revealed that viewers can expect a lot of drama and shocking revelations.

“Some clarity and resolution on some issues and some serious entertainment.”

Being her first reunion, Mabotja was extremely nervous hosting this reunion. “Understanding that there will never be enough time to get through everything, not everyone will be pleased.”

For the role, the multi-talented Mabotja allowed herself to get sucked into the characters and episodes without the social media commentary.

“I then squizzed through social media to get a sense of what many wanted to know and understand. When chatting to the team and getting more information and context, I made sure I made note of as much as possible while remaining curious.”

The reunion special airs exclusively on Mzansi Magic and Showmax on Sunday, October 5 at 5:00pm.
