Pretoria is set for a nostalgic R&B takeover when multi-platinum-selling groups Dru Hill and Silk bring their timeless sounds to the SunBet Arena at Time Square, Menlyn, on Sunday, May 22, 2027.

The concert will mark the first-ever We Love R&B Concert Experience, promising fans a night dedicated to some of the voices and songs that have shaped generations of R&B lovers.

Known for their powerful vocals and string of classic hits, Dru Hill will perform favourites including In My Bed, Never Make a Promise, How Deep Is Your Love, Beauty and These Are the Times.

Joining them will be acclaimed quartet Silk, whose catalogue includes the enduring R&B anthem Freak Me, as well as If You and Meeting in My Bedroom.

But there is more to come.

Organisers Remoakantse Holdings have confirmed another major international name will join the line-up, though they’re keeping the act under wraps for now.

“We are extremely excited about what we are putting together for Pretoria. Dru Hill and Silk are incredible, multi-platinum-selling acts with catalogues that have stood the test of time, and we know their music has a very special place in the hearts of South African R&B fans,” said Remoakantse Holdings managing director Thabiso Mogashwa.

“But this is only the beginning. There is another very special announcement still to come, and we are looking forward to sharing that with audiences soon.”

Mogashwa said the decision to keep the next announcement under wraps was deliberate.

“We have deliberately kept this one under wraps because we want the announcement to be as exciting for the fans as it has been for us putting it together.”

With two multi-platinum R&B acts already confirmed and another major international name still to be revealed, the concert is shaping up as a celebration of the music, memories and voices that have defined generations of R&B fans.

Tickets are available exclusively through Webtickets and at Pick n Pay outlets nationwide.
