Electricity minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says that the failure of units at several power stations had forced Eskom to ramp up loadshedding stages. The minister says that the recent performance of the power grid had been disappointing over the last two weeks. He said that over that time period the utility had seen a deterioration in the rate at which Eskom’s generating units are failing.
South Africa is not against the Jewish community. Those are the words of Former International Relations Minister Lindiwe Sisulu who joined in on an inter-faith gathering at St George’s Cathedral recently. Sisulu says she is in favour of Israel’s ambassador to South Africa to be sent back and for all diplomatic ties with Israel to be suspended until there is a ceasefire and humanitarian corridors are reopened in the Gaza.
