It’s not the typical career path of a Comrades Marathon winner, but one former champion has officially opened an OnlyFans account to help fund her running career.
The 2017 women’s champion Camille Herron has turned to the creator platform to generate additional income after expanding her professional brand beyond traditional athletics.
While the American was a surprise winner at South Africa’s premier ultra marathon, she boasts an extraordinary resume across long-distance running.
Herron, 44, is a three-time individual gold medalist at the World Championships across the 50km, 100km, and 24-hour events, while holding a 2:37 marathon personal best and two team World Championship gold medals (100km and 24-hour).
Though the move has caught some fans off guard, Herron maintains that her primary focus remains on elite competition.
“I’m expanding my professional horizons into modeling & being an adult creator – while continuing to compete at the highest level in my sport,” Herron wrote on X. “In a very real sense, I’m sponsoring myself.”
Sharing a photo on X on Wednesday, Herron expressed excitement about the platform’s potential:
“Runners from around the world are very excited and inspired I’m on OF now 🤗! It’s sooo much fun engaging with them in a new way and fulfilling their custom requests 💕💫.
“I see sooo much potential for more runners in our sport to join OF and monetize to support their athletic careers and livelihoods 💅💃! Yes, it’s an adult 18+ platform, but I share a variety of content and behind the scenes.
“I also share products and brands I like—making it a great space to promote other sponsors and partnerships too 🚀!”
