It’s another exciting weekend lined up for the Cape, with great music and food taking center stage! Steven Taylor, podcast host of the Indaba Show, has put together a guide called “Out and About” filling you in on the latest events.

Watershed – An Intimate evening with Craig Hinds

Craig Hinds, lead singer of award-winning South African acoustic rock band, Watershed, will be playing a magical sunset concert on the beautiful lawns of the Steenberg Hotel and Spa to raise critical funds for Save Our Beach Huts to protect the iconic pieces of Cape Town heritage.

The event will be taking place at the Steenberg Lawns in front of Tryn Restaurant from 17h00 – 19h00 on Sunday 20 November. Picnic on the lawn tickets are R1 400 per couple which includes an Alfresco picnic. Seated tickets on The Oak Terrace are R1 800 per couple. Steenberg wine and beverages will be available for purchase

Rumours of Fleetwood Mac Tribute

Taking place at Woodstock Brewery a full band made up of some of Cape Town’s top musicians, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac takes the audience into an audio landscape filled with ‘classic time-capsules of memories’ with tracks like Go your own way’, ‘Don’t Stop’, ‘Dreams’, ‘Everywhere’ and ‘Second hand news’.

Rumours of Fleetwood Mac is a tribute show centred around one of Fleetwood Mac’s most successful albums Rumours (1977) that spent 31 weeks at No 1 on the Billboard charts.

Starting from 6pm on Saturday. Tickets from R250 available at Quicket.

Preemie Gala Experience

Experience an evening of curated culture, entertainment & talks on Friday the 18th of November from 18:30pm at the Artscape Theatre.

There will be a 3-course food & beverage selection designed by Chefs Gabi and Clem. Music headlined by Chad Saaiman, Dizu Plaatjies and Lynelle Kenned. A discussion on “Social Impact at the intersection of Profit & Purpose” will be moderated and explored by Quanita Adams (MC), Jason Falken (Trust CEO), Chad Saaiman, with contributions from Youth Capital and Ikasi Media.

Grand Master DJ Ready D and GCAP will be on the decks for the after party, joined by the dancers from the Vouks Foundation. All proceeds go towards supporting Tygerberg Hospital’s premature babies.
