Hawks in EC investigate dodgy fibre connection tender

The Eastern Cape Hawks have opened an investigation into an alleged dodgy Buffalo City Metro fibre internet connection tender.
According to the Daily Dispatch, a whistleblower claims that a ward councillor awarded the contract after allegedly demanding a reward from the service provider.
The councillor allegedly elicited more than 22-thousand rand from the deal.
