Strictly Soul presents Masego

Grammy Award-nominated musician Masego is set to headline this festival as part of his “Fix Your Face” Tour.

His performance at the Strictly Soul event will feature the renowned artist’s  “TrapHouseJazz” genre of music, which has earned him global acclaim.

Fans will get a chance to enjoy some of his greatest hits live at the concerts, including “Tadow”, “Mystery Lady” and “Queen Tings.”

Where: Fourways Farmers Market in Modderfontein Reserve.

When: Sunday, July 5, from 12pm.

Schalk Bezuidenhout: Hey Hey Divorcé

Schalk Bezuidenhout is bringing his latest stand-up comedy show, “Hey Hey Divorcé” to Joburg this weekend.

The show will delve into his life as a divorced man following his public split from Mica McKechnie.

This personal comedy special will resonate far and wide as it depicts the real trials and tribulations of single life in your 30s as it also touches on emotional moments.

Where: The Capital in Sandton.

When: Friday, July 3, until Sunday, July 5. Show times vary.

Washington DC Youth Orchestra at Linder Auditorium

The DC Youth Orchestra is continuing its long tradition of cultural exchange through music with its performance in the City of Gold this weekend.

The concert repertoire includes Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s “Ballade in A minor”, Raffie McEachin’s “The Primordial Orb Dances” and Kalman Levitin’s “Chimaera”, among many others.

Where: Wits Linder Auditorium in Parktown.

When: Sunday, July 5, from 3pm.

Lira Live at Silverstar Centre

South African songstress Lira will deliver an intimate performance at this live show. 

This will include her soulful ballads and uplifting anthems like “Feel Good” and “Hamba.” Meanwhile, award-winning Afro-soul artist Zamajobe will also take to the stage as the “Ndawo Yami” singer adds to the line-up.

Where: Silverstar Centre in Muldersdrift.

When: Friday, July 3, from 7pm.
