The Minister of Employment and Labour, Thulas Nxesi, says the lack of access to education creates an environment where child labour can thrive.
Nxesi says ensuring access to quality education empowers children with the skills and knowledge necessary to break the cycle of poverty and child labour.
Nxesi further emphasised that collaboration between departments and other relevant stakeholders is imperative in tackling this problem.
