Marumo Gallants have moved swiftly to reinforce their squad ahead of the second half of the season, announcing a trio of new signings as preparations intensify for the league’s resumption.

The additions follow the high-profile departures of Daniel Msendami and Mpho Chabatsane, who both completed moves to Orlando Pirates this week. With the Betway Premiership set to restart in less than a week, Gallants have acted decisively to address the vacancies left by the duo, strengthening their attacking options ahead of a crucial clash against TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on January 21.

The New RecruitsLeading the new arrivals is Romaric Dognimin Ouattara. The 21-year-old Ivorian centre-forward joins from Algerian side Olympique Akbou and brings a formidable physical presence to the Gallants’ frontline. Standing at 1.90m tall, Ouattara is regarded as a powerful striker with significant attacking upside.

Gallants have also secured the services of Emmanuel Lyonze Mwiinde, a 25-year-old Zambian attacker known for his ability to lead the line. Mwiinde has featured for clubs including Hatta Club, Masafi Sports Club, and Al-Salam SC in recent seasons, contributing a steady stream of goals and assists.

Completing the trio is South African winger Msindisi Kunene. The 24-year-old arrives with valuable domestic experience, having previously been part of the senior squad at AmaZulu FC. He is expected to provide much-needed pace and creativity in wide areas.

Exits at TS GalaxyElsewhere, TS Galaxy have confirmed the departure of defender Qobolwakhe Sibande, who is set to join Petrojet SC in the Egyptian Premier League. The 25-year-old moves to one of Africa’s most competitive top flights, where Petrojet currently sit ninth. Sibande will now test himself against continental heavyweights such as Al Ahly and Zamalek.

Sibande becomes the second player the Rockets have lost in a matter of days, following Puso Dithejane’s move to Major League Soccer. The 21-year-old has joined Chicago Fire, where he links up with former Orlando Pirates defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi.
