Formula E pumps billions into CT economy- Mayor Geordin Hill Lewis
There’s been much controversy around the City of Cape Town allowing the Formula E to take place in the city as the country continues to be gripped with its energy crisis, but Mayor Geordin Hill Lewis said the event injected R2bn into the Mother City’s economy. The City further believes that the event will boost tourism in Cape Town. The mayor said that he hoped the visuals televised across the globe would encourage others to visit the Mother City.

The South African Police’s Special Task force has placed in the top 10 of Global SWAT challenge. The SAPS special forces placed at 9th overall out of 55 teams and remained the best in Africa after their recent five day challenge.
