CapeNature celebrates annual Access Week with free public access to one of 24 nature reserves
CapeNature says it will be celebrating its annual Access Week from next Saturday the 23rd of September through to Friday the 29th of September which will allow public access to one of 24 selected nature reserves across the province for free. This year, CapeNature is focusing on the importance of making meaningful connections in nature and will also be facilitating a variety of programmes.
The entity will be facilitating programmes for a range of groups including schools, senior citizens, youth and non-profit community groups during the week.
Mkhwebane calls her axing an injustice
Former Public Protector, Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane, has reacted to her axing on social media, calling it an injustice.
President Cyril Ramaphosa officially removed Mkhwebane from the office of the Public Protector.
The termination came a month before Mkhwebane’s term was due to end.
She says she will take the decision on review.
Production costs of beef down, prices up
Its seems that as the country is experiencing a chicken and egg shortage, retailers are cashing in on the high demand for alternatives like beef. That’s according to the Competition Commission which had found that the production costs of beef in the country have been coming down since September last year, however consumers are continuing to pay more for beef cuts as the price continues to rise.
Norway’s princess announces wedding for next Summer
Norway’s Princess Martha Louise and her American partner, self-proclaimed shaman Durek Verrett, have announced their plans to marry next summer. King Harald V has extended his congratulations to the couple and expressed his happiness at welcoming Verrett into the family. Notably, Verrett has been associated with promoting unverified medical practices. He has suggested cancer is a choice and sold medallions online said to ward off Covid-19, while Princess Martha Louise has claimed she is able to communicate with angels.
