NPO’s in the Western Cape facing closure due to lack of funding

Many non profit organisations providing aid to victims of gender based violence in the Western Cape are still reeling from the affects of the Covid pandemic and the various restrictions. The NPO’s now face closure due to a lack of funding. The Western Cape Social Development department says that like other government bodies its trying to recover from the affects of the pandemic.

Mexican bakers break world record for largest bread mosaic

It took bakers in Mexico 20,689 loaves of bread to assemble the world’s largest bread mosaic, measuring more than 206 square metres. The mosaic was an image of La Catrina, a traditional skeleton figure associated with the Mexican Day of the Dead. Its believed the bakers took two weeks to bake all the bread involved in the record attempt.
