South African rugby star Ox Nché (real name Retshegofaditswe Nché) has announced a temporary pause on all orders from his clothing brand, Ox Kraal, due to an ongoing legal dispute affecting the online store.

In a statement on Instagram, Nché explained: “We’ve hit a small bump, or should I say, technical tackle. I’m currently working through a legal matter involving the Ox Kraal online store, which has affected order processing and deliveries.”

“As part of this issue, I do not currently have access to the Ox Kraal website or social media pages, as these are still controlled by a third-party administrator involved in the dispute.”

He said that while they resolve this, he kindly asks that customers pause all online orders for the time being.

“I don’t want anyone to be left hanging without their favourite Ox gear. But don’t worry, this isn’t a red card, just a reset. I’m using this moment to rebuild stronger, protect the brand and make sure your experience is as solid as an Ox scrum.”

“Thank you for your patience and support. It means the world to me. Stay tuned … something is cooking in the kraal.”

Ox Kraal, the clothing brand founded by Nché, is known for its supporters’ gear and casual apparel. Its range includes items such as the “baby kraal onesie”, the “bucket hat” and the “salads don’t win scrums apron”, all inspired by Nché’s rugby career and personal brand.

The name and slogan reference his famous saying, “salads don’t win scrums”, a reflection of his approach to the game and dedication on the field.

Nché is a South African rugby union player who has gained recognition as one of the country’s leading props.

From Bloemfontein, he plays as a loosehead prop for the South African national team, the Springboks, and has been celebrated for his strength in the scrum, dynamic play and consistency under pressure.

He made his international debut in 2017 and quickly became a key figure in South Africa’s forward pack.

Nché is widely admired not only for his rugby achievements but also for his personality and connection with fans.

His nickname, “Ox”, reflects both his physical strength and his work ethic on the field.

Beyond rugby, Nché has built a personal brand that extends into lifestyle and merchandise, with Ox Kraal serving as a bridge between his professional career and fan community.
