The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed Moses Mabhida Stadium as the venue for the 2026 MTN8 Final, with tickets for the showpiece set to go on sale online on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10am.
The highly anticipated final between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.
This will be the record 10th MTN8 final to be hosted by the Durban stadium.
The return of the MTN8 final to Durban comes at an interesting time for the iconic stadium, which has undergone a period of refurbishment and rehabilitation work.
Work on the 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium began in 2024, with the eThekwini Municipality claiming the cost of the broader project at an estimated R284 million.
The stadium’s pitch has also undergone rehabilitation work as part of efforts to restore the facility to international standards.
MTN8 final ticketing information
General Access tickets will be priced at R150 each and will be available online only via www.opentickets.co.za on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 10am.
To ensure fair access, each person will be limited to purchasing a maximum of four tickets. Spectators are encouraged to prepare in advance and take note of the following:
• Ensure that you have a valid banking card and sufficient funds available before starting the purchase process.
• Visit www.opentickets.co.za from 10h00 on Friday, 02 October 2026 and select the 2026 MTN8 Final.
• An online queuing system will be in place, and supporters may be required to wait in a queue before gaining access to the ticket purchasing page.
• Once tickets have been added to your cart, you will have 10 minutes to complete the payment process.
• Upon successful completion of the transaction, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket purchase details.
• Every person, including children, must have a valid ticket to enter the stadium.
• Members of the public are urged to purchase tickets only through the official Open Tickets online platform and to avoid purchasing tickets from unauthorised third parties.
