Destroy confiscated firearms- Gun Free SA
Sites to destroy guns should be established in the Western Cape. That’s the call from Gun Free South Africa which is calling on the establishment of firearms destruction sites, after it was revealed that more than 700 guns confiscated in the province in the first quarter of this year had still not been destroyed.
Opposition to Karpowerships docking in SA
Environmental group, the Green Connection, says it’s concerned about the environmental impact of the Karpowership being in the country’s ports for the next 20 years. This comes after the minister of mineral resources and energy Gwede Mantashe has signalled support for the energy deal with the floating power plants.
Housing project in Dido Valley expected to be completed end of 2024
The City of Cape Town says that work on site to complete homes for indigent residents in Dido Valley will be completed by the end of next year. The City’s Mayco Member for Human Settlements James Vos says the City recently handed over keys to 10 beneficiaries in the R170million housing project.

A restaurant in Philadephia has created a hamburger with edible gold priced at R13,000. The restaurant is selling the pricey burger by topping it with aged Irish cheddar and drizzled with honey. If this is perhaps something which can fit your pocket, the restaurant says purchasing this burger does include a side of fries.
